We went to Lubbock to hang out with two of my very best friends in the whole world, Amy and Rachel. Amy now lives there and Rachel was in town with her little girls from the Boston area. We got to town a couple days before Rachel, so we had plenty of time to hang out withe grandparents too! We went to Chuck E. Cheese...

where we got lots of extra tokens so the adults could play too :)

When Rachel got in town with Ellie and Gwyn, we went to the Science Spectrum! Madelyn and Ellie got along beautifully...

I loved getting to see Ellie, Gwyn, and Bliss and how much all of them had grown, but the best times were hanging out with Rachel and Amy after all the girls were tucked in their beds. Thanks mom for keeping Madelyn so I could have some girl talk...with adults :)

Happy Birthday Mom!

My parents were in town for a long weekend! The day they drove in was my mom's birthday, so we all went out to dinner. She picked a Greek restaurant, Zorbas.
I brought cupcakes for dessert! Madelyn got a special mini cupcake...

My Aunt Linda (one of my mom's sisters) had a birthday cake delivered to our house! My mom was really surprised and we all appreciated the sweet treat! Here's Madelyn stealing a taste the second we took it out of the box...

It snowed this week! and the wind chill this morning was 9 degrees...yikes! Madelyn of course wanted to play in it...

Clint and I were freezing but Madelyn was much tougher! She took off her gloves to make snowballs and kept refusing to go in!

After finally coming into the warm house, Madelyn tried out Daddy's buff in a couple different ways...I thought she looked funny...

Aurora came over for a playdate, and the girls enjoyed "cooking" in the kitchen...

The above picture was taken about a week and a half ago. Last night we went to Aurora's house to meet her four day old sister (and bring dinner!) Welcome Daphne!!!

I held her first, but she started the newborn shriek! Clint had much better luck :)
One of my favorite places to eat in Lubbock is Rosas, and they recently opened one up not far from our house here! Clint was cracking up as Madelyn ate because he said she looked just like me...she got a tortilla, filled it with beans, rolled it up, and then could not get enough queso on each bite!! A girl after my own stomach :)

We had a playdate with Lincoln right after Christmas and got to try out some of his new toys! The big kids played air hockey while Jackson watched...

We had lunch at IKEA and not only was Madelyn's kids meal FREE, but she had her own table in front of cartoons. I think she will be wanting to dine there again!
