Sick Day
Madelyn was sick for a couple of days and had a high fever. She spent part of one day watching her videos while curled up on the couch with a pillow and blanket, her lovey, and...her baseball cap!!...

Labor Day Weekend
We spent the holiday weekend in Lubbock. Madelyn, of course, made cupcakes with Popio...the two of them could go into the cupcake business!

She even did the dishes with Mema afterwards...
I think these are my mom's glasses, but they look hilarious on Madelyn! She looks so serious walking around in them...
hanging out with Pop! Madelyn was saying "cheese" and taking a camera phone pic of herself...
playing with Mema!
photo shoot! Madelyn looking adorable and being silly...

We took M to the Texas Tech game! She did not own any red attire, so we had to go shopping when we got there. We found the cutest dress for her to wear to the game...so cute, in fact, that it should have been burnt orange and white :)
she also sported the Double T tattoo...
She tailgated before the game and everything! Here she is with her "guns up" with my parents in the stadium!
She now randomly puts her guns up and yells "Go Raiders", and I have to remind her that at our house we say "Hook 'em Horns!" I guess it's ok...we did grow up in Lubbock and go to grad school there. (My parents are both Longhorns too, but they support Tech...as long as they aren't playing UT!) I suppose we need to take her to a UT game so she will be excited about the Longhorns as well.
Road Trip!
We went to Lubbock for Labor Day Weekend, and as I was looking through my pictures, I realized we had a bunch just from the car ride there and back. So I decided to do a quick posting with those...
I should mention that we had to make several stops because Madelyn is POTTY TRAINED!! YAY! But I do admit there are times when it would be easier if she had on a diaper and could just go...a road trip being one of those times :) We have a car potty, so we can stop anywhere (and avoid using disgusting gas station bathrooms!) but we still have to stop, so we made the most of it...
Madelyn and Clint throwing rocks down a dirt road...

a biker took a family photo at a rest stop!...
enjoying the great outdoors...

on our way back to Dallas....

I have to admit if it was up to me, I would stop solely for the potty break and then strap her back into her carseat immediately, so we could be on our way. But Clint and Madelyn like to explore and had a great time at every stop. And, I admit, I did too!
Ellie and Gwyn!
One of my best friends from high school, Rachel, was in town at her grandparents and we got to have a playdate! Here is her new baby, Gwyneth...so cute!

Madelyn and Ellie had fun playing with dolls and at the park. The bottom pic is Madelyn "helping" Gwyn swing...
It was so great catching up with Rachel and meeting Gwyn for the first time! Move back to Texas, so we can see more of you!!!!We took Madelyn to a Texas Rangers game! She absolutely loved it! The game didn't start until 7 pm, so I worried she would be tired and fussy, but nope, she was totally into watching the game...and all the crazy people around us!
Clint and Madelyn both got new baseball caps at the stadium...
"He made it!"
"I'm having so much fun!"
and the best one...we took a break from the game to get some food, buy the caps, and let Madelyn run around for a few minutes, but she just kept saying "Go to our chairs and see baseball game!"

I include this picture not because it is great, but because it was taken at a restaurant. That's right...it's a mexican restaurant with a playground...so parents can sit on the patio, eat, and drink margaritas, while the kids run around the playground...genius! We will be going back!
Emma, M, and Carter swimming! Our pool is now closed :(

Amy and Bliss!
Amy and Bliss spent a weekend with us! Amy and I have been friends since elementary school, and it was so fun to spend some time with her in her new role as mommy! Just look how precious Bliss is...

I definitely had a glimpse of what my life would look like if I had another baby right now! Madelyn was sooo interested in Bliss and constantly wanted to hold her, give her her bottle, pat her back, and smother her!

My favorite was when Bliss would fuss or cry, Madelyn would go over to her and ask "What's the problem?"
Madelyn and Clint playing in the rain...again! She absolutely loves when it rains and can't wait for Clint to get home to go play with her!
She was filling up her dump truck and cups with water and could have done that for hours! My Granny has since bought her an umbrella more her size :)

Carter's Birthday Party!
A few weeks ago, we went to Carter's 2nd birthday party. Jordan put a lot of thought into it, and everything was so fun! She had different stations set up for different kinds of trucks/vehicles

a special drive-by was arranged!...
Clint with Jackson (Lincoln's little bro)...they look cute together with all their blue...

the yummy cake!
The other night, Madelyn, of course, wanted to put on her own pajamas. I put her shirt on and then let her do the pants...well, this is what I got...she is so silly!

Where'd my pants go?!
We went with my friend Cristina to get shaved ice...a first for Madelyn . Don't know why I didn't get a pic of the two of them , but here is Madelyn enjoying her shaved ice (and mine) under the shade of a big tree. The shaved ice was pretty good, but I miss Bahama Bucks :)

There was a kids play area with this big airplane to "fly" and a slide out the back.
These are your captains, Madelyn and Mac, speaking...
We then ventured to the museum part. There are all kinds of planes and helicopters...I could give you specific models, but I have no clue...
ready for take-off...
sitting in a helicopter...
look, an astronaut!...
We went into a cave-type room which was supposed to be like walking on the moon. They had a real moon rock..more like a moon spec, but still pretty cool!
