15 Month Well-Check

Though she turned 15 months on the 8th, Madelyn's appointment with her pediatrician was this morning. She loves to be in the waiting area because they have a play kitchen!! And her dr has the waiting room divided by a wall for sick and well kids, which is nice. With her recent ear infections we have spent more time on the sick side lately (with no kitchen), so M and I were both happy to enter through the "well-child doors" this time.

Madelyn no longer gets weighed on the baby scale (where she used to sit), but stands on the big scale now! She weighed 22 lb 6 oz (40%) and was 33 inches tall (97%). I am always amazed by her height! Is there any chance she could possibly grow up to be tall?!? Really? I am only 5' 3''!

no pictures from today...and, I know I haven't posted any in a while...but, we did find a new park the other day...that I'm pretty sure Clint likes more than Madelyn!

My Very Own Table

This table and chairs is a Christmas present from my Granny and Papa (Madelyn's great-grandparents). We had to wait to have it painted so my parents brought it to us when they came this past weekend. Madelyn has enjoyed it so far and has been reading books and playing with legos at her table.
(I should have opened the blinds or something for a better pic, but you can still see the cute table)

THANKS SO MUCH Granny and Papa!!! We really appreciate it!

and, a few pics from our playdate with Carter and Reid...I wanted to get a picture of Madelyn in her new outfit from her Nana...

the kiddos with Jordan...

Barney!!!

Madelyn watched her first video the other day, and oh my gosh, apparently she loves Barney! I did not think she would sit for very long to watch and she watched the whole thing...it was at least an hour! It is hard to tell from the still pictures just how much fun she was having (I should have had the video camera), but here are a few shots...

She was smiling, pointing, clapping, dancing, and up and down the whole time....

She just could not contain herself and the rocking chair repeatedly become a dangerous surfboard so (after my many attempts of asking her to sit down) we had to switch to the softer chair...

dancing with her baby...

she kept getting in and out of the chair...and even flipped over the side a few times...nothing can phase her when Barney is on!

Gramma and Papa Jo!

My parents were here this weekend!

dark picture, but my dad has yet to come visit without a trip to Pappadeaux...he loves that place!

Madelyn and Papa Jo picking out their dinner....lobster anyone?

We had to wait for a bit for our table and Madelyn did not find sitting at the bar very entertaining, so Madelyn kept convincing her daddy and Papa Jo to go out into the bitter cold to look at water fountains...which were partly frozen.

the three of us...

and my mom never comes without a trip to Whole Foods to stock up on the things she can't find in Lubbock

We all watched the national championship game together Thursday night (my parents both went to UT also!). Of course, I wish we would have won, but we had fun and Madelyn looked adorable in her new Texas bow...thanks Granny!

Clint and Madelyn in front of the horns in our home office...

very excited about the game...until it started and Colt got hurt

Madelyn, the lunch lady...she was playing in my mom's shower cap! Don't worry, she did not leave the house in that outfit. Those were just the remains of a cute outfit already stripped off for a nap!
