COLORADO!

Finally getting the Colorado post up...this is actually from August! We went to visit my Aunt Marie, Uncle Rex, cousin Heather, and her husband, Jake! My mom met us there too, and we had tons of fun!

We went hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park! It was beautiful! the pics are kind of out of order, but I figured it would take too long to get them right...

The four of us consumed a lot of ice cream during the visit :) This place was neat and I thought picture worthy, though we're not holding any ice cream...

We hiked up to a waterfall which was amazingly gorgeous! Clint and Jake decided to jump across the rocks to the other side...it doesn't look like much in the picture, but it was actually quite dangerous. Jake said it was a calculated risk...whatever that means!...boys :)

Madelyn climbed to the top of the rock and told us she had climbed the mountain, then she showed us her muscles :) Clint and Jake imitated her from the other side of the waterfall...

Madelyn's first time to not sleep in a pack 'n play while out of town. I know, she is almost 3, but I like her contained ;) She did surprisingly well on the floor and has slept there many times since on other trips. Side note: she is still in a crib at home. Call me crazy, but she loves her bed, so why would I change it? Please do not mention to her that she could just climb right out ;)

Thanks Aunt Marie and Uncle Rex for hosting us and taking us on such wonderful outings! And thanks to my mom for keeping M part of the time so Clint and I could hang out with Heather and Jake!!

First Day of School!!!

Madelyn is back in school (it's actually been a couple of weeks) and now goes twice a week instead of just once.

She's ready!

I thought I would give you a flashback to the first day last year. I can't believe how much older she looks now! The pics are great for comparing because she has all the same stuff from last year. I was too cheap to buy her a new backpack, lunchbox, etc. :) Plus, they are too cute to just toss aside! At least we made it out the door this year without a tutu ;) Which reminds me...her new thing is stick on earrings! She didn't wear any the first day, but I think she's worn them every day since!!

Jen's Shower!

Our good friends, Jen and Gui, are expecting a baby boy! In fact, he and Madelyn may share the same birthday...we'll see! We recently went to Austin where I co-hosted a shower for Jen

Bo's Birthday!

Clint's sister lives 2 hours away, so we drove down for our nephew's 3 year old b-day party! Madelyn had lots of fun playing with all her cousins!

Madelyn got a foul ball!! We were sitting on the second row and the ball girl caught it right in front of us. A group of boys swarmed to get the ball, but the ball girl reached through to hand it to Madelyn...she's just too irresistible in her cap :)
After we'd been sitting a while, we went to buy M a t-shirt. She insisted on putting it on right away...over her dress! She told me, "I have to wear it for the team!!"

The circus came to town! We rode the DART down to the American Airlines center. When we stepped onto the train, Madelyn's friend from school, Kylie, was sitting there! The girls talked and laughed the whole ride to downtown.
