Legoland

My next door neighbor's niece was in town and we all went to Legoland! It was pretty neat...overpriced in my opinion, but still neat. You first learn all about the making of legos, then when you enter, you go on a little ride. Each person gets a laser gun to shoot all the bats, spiders, etc. I thought Madelyn looked cute with her gun :)
Alaina and Madelyn building inside the princess castle...
The lego replica of Dallas was impressive...I couldn't get the whole thing in the picture...
The best part...Karaoke!! The girls took turns singing into the microphone and dancing. We may have some wild days ahead of us...apparently one of Madelyn's dance moves is to pull her dress up to her chest!!

Rainforest Cafe!

We met some friends for our first visit to Rainforest Cafe (neither Clint nor I had ever been before either).

Madelyn and Aurora didn't know what to think at first. Our table was right by the giant gorillas! They were really loud and pounded their chests!
They then decided it was pretty exciting!
We walked around to see all the other animals too. It was really fun, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the food (I expected it to be awful)

Let's Go Fly a Kite...

I got a kite for Mother's Day, and we finally tried it out! Madelyn thought it was really cool, but it was Clint that we could not get to leave :)

She loved to hold it all by herself...imagine that!
It went a little higher when it was Clint's turn to fly...

Baby Shower!

Kyle (my brother) and Kristy are having a baby! She is due Aug 1st. We went to Lubbock for their baby shower (at my parent's house) and had tons of fun!

My parents with the mom-and-dad-to-be...
(thanks Patty for the best diaper cake I've ever seen!)

cupcakes! and other delicious foods...

I was so excited Amy and Bliss got to come to the shower!
gifts!
My mom's friend, Carolyn, brought over the most delicious homemade thumbprint cookies! Here is Madelyn telling Carolyn how yummy the cookies are...and reaching for another. I couldn't stop eating them myself, so I couldn't really tell her no, could I? :)

I couldn't resist another pic of Bliss...she is just so cute!

After the shower, my dad cooked burgers for everyone and we hung out in the backyard. We set up kiddie pools and broke out the new slip 'n slide...Clint showed the kids how it is done :)
Blythe came over to swim with Madelyn! It was so nice to catch up with Keegan and her family...
Madelyn having a picnic with the big kids...and cuddling on the couch with Claire. Claire was so sweet with Madelyn and they played together for hours! Hours past Madelyn's bed time I might add. She was having so much fun with everyone that I just couldn't bring myself to drag her upstairs to bed.
Just when I thought things had slowed down, it turned into a birthday party! So, naturally, we all had one more dessert before calling it a night :)
I did manage to finally bathe her and get her to bed. Here she is doing a crossword puzzle on the potty before bath. She is officially a member of the Fink family now!! :)
We had a great time with everyone and can't wait to meet Baby Robert!

Madelyn's class had an end-of -the -year party and the parents were invited! It was so cute to see all the kids interacting. There were cupcakes...

games! bowling...
and fishing

A new place opened called Jumpstreet. It is an indoor trampoline park and really cool!
You can run up the trampoline walls and slide down! They also have bounce house slides and a few other fun activities. Great way to burn off some energy :)
This pic was taken another day at Jumpstreet (in case you noticed M was wearing a different outfit). This was our last outing before Jordan's family (M's dear friends Carter and Charlotte) moved to Houston :( So we had to get a group shot of the kids...Carter, M, Lincoln, Jackson, Hayes, Hudson, and Reid!
Amber is having a baby! She and I are friends from college, and we recently attended Amber and Adam's baby shower!

the girls...
gifts!!!
Madelyn in the middle of it all :)
My dad recently got back from Argentina and brought me a pair of Argentine alpargata shoes, which are the shoes TOMS are based off of. Awesome! Way to go, Dad! (Lauren, if you are reading this, I stole from your posting!)

Way to go, Melissa!!!

Clint's sister, Melissa, graduated from Sam Houston State University! We are so proud of her!! We made the drive down to Huntsville for the ceremony and to see the fam.

Here is Melissa walking across stage...kinda hard to make out, but she did a little dance when they called her name...you can see one of her arms up in the air :)

And this is her sweet son, Avitt...our newest nephew! He is such an easy baby and was happy the whole time we were there! Just look at those eyes...
Madison is an excellent babysitter and took care of Avitt during the grad. ceremony.
Back home, Madelyn and Nana played hide and seek...
And we went to a really pretty park to feed the ducks...

Madelyn and Nana walked in the creek. Clint and I stayed dry!
