Egg Hunt!

We went with the Harns to the Frisco Easter Egg Hunt! There were different soccer fields assigned to different age groups and there were a TON of eggs. I took a pic before the hunt just to show you...

There were bounce houses to entertain the kids while they waited. We had a great time, but we couldn't leave without throwing a fit about something :)
Madelyn and Lincoln waiting patiently for the hunt to begin...

the free-for-all begins! M and Lincoln finding eggs together!
All of the eggs were filled with little trinkets...I have to admit the kids were a bit disappointed about the lack of sugar :)

Easter Egg Hunt!

Madelyn had several egg hunts this year. They were scheduled for different weekends leading up to Easter, so we were able to do more than one!

We went to the Castle Hills hunt with the Skipworths!

Madelyn and Aurora...
look, my basket's full!
the girls with their daddies...
checking out the loot...bubbles and candy...
running through the fields...on a sugar high :)

Rise and Shine Run

Last weekend we went to the Rise and Shine 5K benefitting the Rise School of Dallas. The school is for children with Down Syndrome and other disabilities and also for children without disabilities. Carter attends the Rise School so we met them there for an afternoon of fun!

Here is Clint...ready to run! So actually we just did the 1K Family Fun Run :)
Charlotte, Jordan, and me

Look at 'em go!...

Madelyn got a ribbon when she crossed the finish line!

The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders were at the finish line. Madelyn wanted a picture so Clint got in on that too :)
There were all sorts of fun activities for the kids afterward. Here are Clint and Madelyn trying to shoot me with the water guns...

good snacks too!

Reid's Party and more...

Our friend, Reid, turned 2! He had a super cute truck party in his backyard! This was the set-up in the house...

delicious cookie party favors!
Madelyn having dinner with the birthday boy. Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets...the best idea ever!
Reid with his parents, Katie and Reid...
Nuggets and cupcakes? this party is awesome!
Madelyn and Jensen
triple stroller?!?!
Madelyn loves Charlotte and was thrilled to help with her bottle...
We met some Lubbock friends at Rosas! Madelyn and Avery...
M and Jacob...
the whole gang...us, Amanda and Jacob, Meagan and Avery. Meg was in town visiting her parents and Amanda recently moved here. We hope to see a lot more of Amanda and Jacob!
For Brian's (Clint's cousin) birthday, we went out for frozen yogurt! Madelyn now associates him with the delicious treat and wants to get yogurt every time we hang out with him. Brian doesn't exactly help with this. I've heard him say to M such things as, "Ask your mom and dad if we can get yogurt after dinner" and "If they were cool parents, they'd take us to get yogurt!" Thanks Brian :)

Arboretum

We had a family outing to the Dallas Arboretum! They were having Dallas Blooms, which means gorgeous tulips everywhere!

yes, there's a very large tattoo on her arm :) I think it's Woody...she comes home from school with them all the time!

never seen this little boy before, but he called Madelyn his girlfriend several times to his buddies, so I thought he was blog worthy :) At one point he said "This is my girlfriend" then turning to Madelyn, "What's your name again?" Ha Ha

We ended with a picnic lunch...and a few picnic hugs!

Fun Times in Austin!

My cousin, Sara, was in town (at my grandparents house) for her last Spring Break before going off to college! She lives in CA, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to see her in Texas! Madelyn and I visited friends first before heading out to see the fam...

We finally got to meet Addison! Her mom, Erin, and I are friends from Lubbock and keep in touch through our blogs, but it was sure nice to see that smiling face in person! Addison and M looking at a photo album together...
We tried to take pictures in the bluebonnets, but the glare was horrible :( This was the best I got...
Madelyn and Sonja enjoying their shaved ice. We walked over the Lamar bridge and just enjoyed being outside, while the shaved ice kept us cool! Thanks, Sonja, for letting us stay at your place, even though no one got much sleep :(
Madelyn and Kaia...these two became fast friends and gave sweet goodbye hugs and kisses!
Only in Austin would there be random pianos scattered around town. They say "Play me, I'm yours" and people walking or riding by stop and play them for a while. We passed several of them and someone was playing them every time. It was really neat to see...
Alex, Sara, Kyle, Kristy (due August 1st!!!), and Madelyn
YEE-HAW!! Ride 'em cowgirl!
Sara was shoe shopping and Madelyn picked out these!...
We had lunch at the Oasis! I love that place...

Grandma and Grandpa. I think this is such a good picture of them...

Reading with Mema...

Two lovely ladies...
Since my mom was there to watch Madelyn, Sara and I had a date night! We took a few silly pictures of our own at the movie theater :)
Alex and Madelyn put on a concert for us :)
and did a little painting too!
